Happy THursday FS friends
Looks like it's going to be another gorgeous day. Cool and great working weather. There's a call for a significant amount of rain tomorrow and Saturday, so will use those days to clean house, which admittedly is not one of my most favourite things to do. That being said, I do like a clean house.
Yesterday's curried pork tenderloin and root vegetable stew turned out positively yummy. I was inspired by some news stories about Pepper X, the hottest chili out there yet. In reading a news clip about it, there was mention that our bodies reaction to consuming hot pepper is to release endorphins and dopamine. Exactly the same reaction as when we eat junk food and sugar. So I thought hmmmmm. Let's concoct a totally healthy dish using a bit of heat. To that end, I added curry powder, pickled hot pepper rings and red chili flakes. Well it worked. It was an incredibly satisfying meal that came in at about 250 cals. Best news, there are now 10 more meals in the freezer for future consumption.
Who new creating concoctions could be such an adventure?
Next mission...to come up with a sugar free chocolate birthday cake with icing recipe for the disabled lad that is coming back for another visit at the end of the month.
Pitter patter, best get at er...
Over and out
