Happy Saturday morning FS friends

Seems we got some rain overnight. Should be a good day for yard work, as even if it does rain, that just means that I don't have to water my transplants. I wandered he yard the other day and was struck by how much is still blooming - roses, weigela (3rd time this season), coreopsis, salvia and blanket flowers. Kind of neat. Made a new little friend too. She likes to hang out on one of my climbing roses and I first saw her when I was tying up a rose bosh to train it to climb. Praying mantis' are cool looking bugs. So slow and deliberate in their movement, alien in their appearance. Don't see them often, in fact I think this is the second time in my life I've seen one. I often say, build it and they will come. As the yard is getting more full of native and ornamental plants, and the many saplings of various species, the biodiversity visiting is increasing. From toads, frogs, all kinds of butterflies, pollinators, birds and now this mantis. Much more to do to create a diverse habitat for the critters but as any gardener knows, patience, discipline and planning will over time, yield results.

Much like gardening, the weight loss journey is one that involves discipline, planning and patience.

Over and out.
