Good morning, FS WARRIORS! 💜✨️ It's so easy to get caught up in how far you have left to go to reach your fitness goals sometimes. I'm time to reflect on how far I have come this morning. In just 4 months, I have gone from being a bed wallower & couch potato to doing heavy (for me) strength training 3-6 days a week (depending on recovery needs). My first steps were just getting in more movement; bringing in the groceries by myself, feeding the animals by myself, "spring" cleaning, etc... "Baby steps" is one of my main mottos. There is no way that I could have just jumped out of the bed straight to where I am now (and I will keep baby stepping). I would have been WAYYY too overwhelmed! "Rome wasn't built in a day." Progress is key! Even if it only seems like progress to you. YOU are the only one you should ever compare yourself to, and just strive to do just a little bit better day by day until you become the best version of YOU. That being said, the booty is still as flat as a pancake 🤣, but I can feel muscle growth down under all of the fat. I can see a little muscle growth in the arms & quads, all covered with fat, for now, obviously. No one else may be able to notice it, but as long as III know I'm making progress, that's what matters. Today is leg day again & the glutes are feeling strong! 😁 Can't wait to see my progression today in the gym! I've got a good feeling that I may just set a new squat PR. 🙂🫰🤞 Anywhooo... Well, there is comparison and there is inspiration. People who are successful using FS tools to attain their goals are unwittingly inspiring others on their journeys. I think you and I both take a bit of a "time will tell" approach. Can we get there and stay there? Will we be strong and flexible? Will we be free from loose, hanging skin? Time will tell. I believe we will be successful.

You are so right, Lady. Especially about the loose skin. I already see some on my thighs. 😒 That's why I'm in no hurry to lose more weight until I build more muscle. I'm probably too old to be as "perfect" as I'd like, so all I can do is be "the best version of me as possible". It helps knowing that at this stage in life, health is more important than anything when put head to head. As far as holding on, I hope so! 🤞🫰 I definitely know now that this will be a life long thing and it's not over once a goal is reached. We've got this, sis! 😘

My friends you inspire me. I'm going to the gym and hauling (gr)ass in the heavy yard work. Haven't lost weight recently, but feeling stronger!

I love following your journey. We definitely have different WOE but that is what is so great about most of us here. I applaud your highs and feel compassion when you're down, no matter whether or not we eat the same or exercise the same. Who cares!? As long as it's working for you that's what counts and I'm 100% supportive! I see the changes in your pictures btw! Keep my ving forward, you are doing great!👍👍💜

That's great news, Erika! I'm so happy for you! It seems like the more strength I gain, the less interested I am in losing weight rapidly. Muscle needs nourishment. I seem to be holding steady on the scale for now. I made a new buddy on the Hevy app. He is trying to catch up with me on hip ab/adductions & I'm chasing him on squats. It's nice to have a little friendly competition going. Good for motivation. I set 7 new personal records today, 3 of which were in squats...lol. He has also encouraged me to do more work on my core. 😊

Thanks, Diana! 🙂 💜 You are exactly right! I support you 💯% also! I'm so glad that this app is much better than it was when I first came. This should be a place of encouragement for EVERYONE, which it has been lately, we are all on the same journey taking different paths to get to our desired location. You are fabulous! 😘
