I hate it when my body is compared to other peoples’ body by my family. I’m working on losing weight but I still am laughed at for exercising and dieting and I’m called names. The same people who were pressuring me to lose weight are now telling me to eat more and trying to force me to eat high calorie food with no nutritional value on purpose. But if I don’t, then I’m disrespecting them. No matter how hard I’ll work, I’ll always be the fat girl to my family.

Says a lot more about them than about you. Keep going. Hope you can find the support here and elsewhere that you're not getting from your family. Stay focused on your health and don't let others sabotage you

To thine own self be true! They can't be reasoned with. Just show them by your gradual results.

I agree with writingwyo says more about them. Misery loves conpany is a saying I've heard my whole life. Don't let them win do you and once you keep to your goals and stick with it you will see results. Keep tracking your food in take here there's my self and lots of other people who are here to support you durning your journey. It's time for you to shine hun

better to disrespect your family than disrespect yourself. my family also makes fun of my WOE. my kids are all thin and eat a lot of crap. they order "air burgers" for me in restaurants to embarrass me and draw attention to my obesity. I take all the disrespect in stride and internalize it but I know that saying no to the bad foods they offer is what is best for my body. my advice is to respect your own body and dont give in to family pressure. what I do sometimes is take a small serving of what they are eating just to keep under the radar. like I had one of those two bite brownies that my grandkids were eating at a family bbq. and yesterday my 5yo grandson asked me to share french fries with him so I said if you can pick the two smallest fries I will have those. he was happy to take all the fries out of the box and line them up to see which were smallest. and he was very happy to keep the big ones for himself. as they say Everything in moderation.

You do you & ignore them Easier said than done especially when it's family that should be happy for you & supportive It upsets me reading this as you are trying so hard to improve yourself & the people who are suppose to "love" you are disrespecting you & confusing you Please try your best to express your feelings to them & if they still are disrespecting you than distance yourself from them 🥰

I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this! No one should be bullied by their closest people. I send you hugs and love! You can do it, despite everyone! Do it for yourself, because you love you. Wait until you get some visible results, I am sure your family will become proud of you!

Some families are toxic. I don’t know about your family, but maybe you can let (some of) them know how their behaviour affects you. If they don’t adjust, you can’t control their actions, only your own. Cut them loose if you can, ignore them if you must. You’re in charge of you. 💪
