Happy to still be losing. In another month I will be at Goal #3 of 10. Goals are at increments of 10lbs now as I realise that there is the likelihood that loss will slow as I get a smaller. Then again, who knows. The resistance training might at some point work to raise BMR. Fingers crossed.
Still a long way to go, but progress is steady. It took me 62 years to get here, so another year and a half in the big scheme of things is nothing. That time will pass whether I do this or I don't.
Do I wish that one day I'd wake up and whoosh, be normal weight? Sure. Magical thinking is always a part of it. The old "I'm trying so hard why isn't it more?" The brain is weird that way. Good to ignore it and as my hero Joe Not Exotic once said each day, small incremental changes add up.(or something to that effect)
To a degree, this week is likely a bit of an overstated loss simply because of the heat and sweating buckets. I'm drinking copious amounts of water 3-4 litres and sparkling flavoured water, 3-4 cans a day + high moisture content foods - cucumber, cherries, leafy greens and the like + chamomile tea at night before bed, but not peeing much relative to intake. My sweatband on my forehead when I'm working in the yard is soaking. My gloves are damp, long pants are stuck to me (ticks so can't wear shorts), Even my braid is wet. Any suggestions on how to get the hydration part of things on side would be appreciated.
What I am happy about though, is that unlike last year where any yardwork in heat was impossible, this year I'm out there. I suppose lugging around almost 50lbs less contributes greatly to that.
