krazycat 99's Journal, 19 July 2015

Bad weather today so I didn't get to walk outside. Hoping for a prettier day tomorrow so I can di some stairs and walking. I have been doing very well on my calorie count but I have noticed I'm getting more crabs than anything. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I am hoping for a pretty good weigh in this coming up week.

What is you plan for eating? It makes a huge difference.

Find out what Way Of Eating you're going to follow and FOLLOW IT to the 'T'. From your WOE, then you can find other people that follow the same WOE and either ask them or look at their Food Diary to see what they eat. I can help you with Keto/LCHF (LowCardHighFat) /IF (IntermittentFasting) WOE, others are following specific plans that they can then craft into getting the right macro ratio in their meals. Take a look at your food diary, see what has the highest carb count, and try to cut that in half or substitute it for something that has less? When I got back onto the KETO-Wagon, ended up either bringing to work (Common breakroom/kitchen donation) or just throwing away food that was counterproductive to Keto.

well, I really don't have a diet plan because I cannot cook at this time due to back surgeries I'm healing from. I can't stand long at a time and break my walk for the day up into about 5 trips. Hope to get better at this as I heal. Thanks

I am probably the third person to ask you....but what is your eating plan? Once we know what you are following, it will be easier for all of us to help you with suggestions, etc. I tend to follow a LCHF plan which means that I keep my carbs to the minimum and allow myself to indulge with the fats. It works for me because I am "borderline" diabetic and it keeps my numbers in check.

It's so hard for me to follow a special food diet because I have so much trouble with my back. I have days when it's hard for me to even exist. I am recovering from 2 back surgeries now. I had 1 in april and one in june. the walks I take I have to break them up into about 2 or 3 trips a day.

Gwen, I am borderline diabetic to so I guess that LCHF would be the best for me to. I just need to know what I can eat now, and I will add excerise as I get stronger....THANKS AND HELP !!

I know you said borderline but diabetic plans are usually carb controlled not necessarily low carb. You might want a nutrition consult re: what might be the best for you if you have any glucose issues. Once you heal more see if you can get some physical therapy to help you build your strength back up and your abs to help support your low back and core to help avoid future surgeries and to help lessen any pain issues. I have a 4 disc cervical fusion and exercise has helped me tremendously.

wholefoodnut, i have the same fusion in the cervical area and lumbar 3 & 4. I have dig. disc. disease and it's very difficult, but i know i can do this. I can't afford a personal trainer and i am bogged down with medical bills from a total of 4 back surgeries since 1998, so this is a do it myself thing i have to do. But i know with all the support from you and others I WILL WIN !!

Wow. I watched my dad and brother have identical surgeries from football injuries and I know how much pain i have in my lower back, hips and knees. But getting active and losing weight has helped me a ton. It is hard but it is worth it.
