You've got this! Fat bombs and Bullet Proof Coffee with mct oil or coconut oil is great to help get back in ketosis and curve cravings, if you didn't know... Good luck on your journey! 💜

I think we all have days like this. It's real life. Just keep going and don't be too hard on yourself. You got this!

Love the fat bombs, bulletproof coffee is hard to like for me, I just do a little cream and sugar free creamer with monkfruit for about less than a carb a cup. My biggest treat is snickerdoodle rebel keto icecream...😁

Good on you for being able to remain focused with Keto treats. They seem to throw me into cravings. I try to keep it bitter...lol. Black coffee (takes time to get used to), lemons, etc. I save artificial sugars only to help me get back on track, then taper off.

We all fall down. What matters is how you get back up.

so true Zenus: cravings+artificial sweeteners= more cravings. TLBrewer: when I did keto, I did make Paleo desserts as a transition, but impossible for me to quit the sweet taste completely. I was pre-diabetic at the time and the artificial sweeteners actually prevented ketosis. don't fully understand why but it's what I noticed. I quit keto/carnivore/any dieting when my therapist said I have Binge eating Disorder. Just knowing and allowing sweets into my calorie and macro budget prevents restrictive mindset which leads to over-consuming sweets/sugar. Just sharing my experience. long story short: if you are REALLY craving something off your diet plan, add it into your food journal before eating, then decide "do I really need this?". If you do, stay in your calorie budget. We are human, and its ok if you decide "I want a root beer TODAY" as long as it's not everyday. Before consuming, add it into your journal, see where your macros are. (I plan my food journal at night for the following day so I can tweak my food to stay in my macros with 200-500cals for wiggle room.) By all means, stick to your diet, but allow yourself room to breath. We are not raised on keto, it's a transition we decided to make. One root beer once a month will not harm you. The All-or-Nothing mentality will set you back moreso. I did it frequently: "well, I had one Hershey kiss, so Im going to eat the rest of them so they aren't in the house....then order subway, then eat all the pop tarts.." granted I do have BED, like I mentioned... But diets as tough as keto ARE HARD. ...I'm sorry I'm wordy.. I know the struggle and its the lil 1% mindset changes that develop and build overtime.

Dazey, I'm in your lane. If I took a hard line against sugar, I would not stop at licorice, popcorn, and root beer. But, really, that sounds like one night at the movies, so it's not so bad. In any case, tlbrewer, if humor burns fat, you'll be at goal in no time! 😆

I had a day like that on Monday..for me it was a bread fest. Yesterday I adjusted and kept carbs at around 50 and protein was a whooping 165! Also hiked 2xs yesterday. Just recoup and move forward.👍

I found keto was too restrictive for me, I couldn't maintain it long term. I'm more successful eating low carb and high protein, which is really a balance between carbs, proteins, and fats, allowing me to eat fruit when I'm craving sweets and whole grains in moderation.

Yep tried counting calories, even at 1200a day I gain weight. Keto is the only one that has ever really worked for me, and even better when I east fasting with it but I do get occasional cravings, and I yo-yo, but I do end up lower at the end and the cheats usually break me through my Plateaus. Thank you everyone for the awesome comments. Another 50lbs and I can actually start working out normal I hope.

Good on you for being able to jump on and off the boat. It's very hard for me to do.

Tlbrewer, the cheats help you break through plateaus? Now I'm so curious! So, when you eat low cal (1200), you no longer lose weight. When you fast and do keto, you do lose weight and then it stalls. After you do a carb load, you gain weight immediately, but are then able to lose weight below your "stuck weight?"

When i cheat I don't Carbo load, I go to the movies and have a large popcorn, or I might have one or two slices of pizza, nothing usually crazy, but I gain about two lbs just from that but two days later I'm usually back under that and the next week I might have lost 5. On the couple of occasions that I did fall off almost like this one, I gained for almost three days but ended up losing overall a week later. So far this time since beginning keto Feb 1st I've lost about 60lbs.

That really demonstrates the importance of just sticking with it. The "it" not being a specific WOE, but the decision to get healthier.
