Hi all
I'm going quiet for a little while. I've had a bit of a set back emotionally, and I'm needing to take a break from dieting and training so hard. I've decided to break for a week just to give my body some time to reset....
I've been struggling with maintaining my weight at a certain place, and 4kg weight gain has freaked me out.
So I just need a break right now. I'm going to eat and chill so that I've gotten stronger emotionally. See you all in a week.

Hey Mel A 4kg gain in 8 days is not possibly muscle.... I'm afraid that's weight gain and klaar. But I'm not giving up, I'm just getting my head straight for a little while.

Wishing you all the best 💖u shouldn't see this as a diet but rather a healthier living coz diets are soooooo hard to stick to it's just choices you make while eating instead of having a burger and chips have two patties and veg. And that scale chuck it lol. I have been on many diets before and trust me my weight fluctuates and it's very depressing. That's why I find this so easy to maintain I eat whatever I like in moderation and that's why calorie count is so important. Don't weigh urself every day rather do centimeters instead and yes muscle heavier than weight. 💪 We all have our days.... Chin up you got this x

Hi Jasmine. Thinking of you in this time. Its so much harder to loose weight when you are not emotionally present. I am a 100% emotional eater and have been using Fatsecret now since 2019. Every time a major setback weakens me emotionally i pick up weight and after using this app for four years, my problem is so clear. I cannot separate my eating habits from my emotions. I think you are doing a good thing to rest a week. The best actually. 🤗🥇good luck, and keep your eyes on the prize.

You’ve probably heard it before, but you cannot out exercise your nutritional choices. But what you can do is choose lengthier, low intensity exercise that helps you ground yourself before making bad nutritional decisions. Walking, hiking, even visiting a museum is the secret magic of a consistent balance to adopting a healthy diet.

Good luck Jasmine, sometimes we must take a break to find ourselves again. This break might be needed for you. Get you head right, when you are ready to come back we will all still be here with you. Don't worry, I've been through gains aswell, I don't always log it. I have picked up 4kg in days. I'm a huge foodie, I love food, eating. Everything! Its such a huge step just to leave everything. But we are all trying! Our body can also keep back water, just remember it! Its not always just weight gain. All of us is going through the same. Not one of us on here has seen constant losses.
