Ugggggghhh! I went to the doctor yesterday and I saw a significant weight gain. I am keeping in mind that it was late afternoon and I was fully clothed when he weighed me...but still. I knew my b-day weekend could bump me back up...but back to the beginning? Went to a bbq last night and didnt even bother logging. I knew I had blown it. That is the beauty of waking up in the morning...you haven't made any mistakes yet...in ANYTHING. Thanks God!
131.2 lb Lost so far: 13.8 lb.    Still to go: 9.2 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

I would consider stopping the diet soda. The artificial sweeteners sucralose/splenda, nutrasweet are not naturally occurring chemicals on this earth. Our bodies were not designed for them and they have such adverse affects on weight loss. I know the diet soda's are so tempting because they taste good and have no calories but our body thinks it is sugar and still releases insulin. When the insulin cannot break down the sugar that it did not find it starts to break anything else we eat into fat storage; thus making weight loss so much harder. But the worst part of it is the artificial sweeteners kill the needed bacteria in our intestines that is vital for absorbing protein, calcium, zinc etc. When our bodies dont get these nutrients they react by releasing a hormone called Ghrelin. Ghrelin is the hunger hormone that that makes our stomach growl and so we can function. I have done a huge amount of research on this and a recent study showed that people over 40 have a much harder time replacing the important bacteria that artificial sweeteners kill in our upper intestines. But weight loss does not have to be hard.
