I absolutely HATE it when departing employees start kicking up a stink about what they think they are owed and then start crying when it works out to be less and they realize they cannot get their own way. Yes, I made a co-worker cry - twice in two days. It makes for one very long and tiring day. Plus it is distracting for everyone involved in the departure process - me, President and Vice President. I managed 10 minutes for lunch and then worked until 8:00 pm - 11.75 hours worked today. I was too tired to eat supper but hubby made me a snack - love him dearly. And those 5 wings I scarfed down for lunch came in at nearly 900 calories! Seriously?! And I have to be at work early tomorrow. Okay, I really should stop venting now. Well, a couple of glasses of wine it is. Have a good evening everyone!

Thank you Glen - you're right about the soul. The final paperwork will be signed off on today so I expect more tears. Hopefully it will be at the beginning of the work day so we can all get on with our work, and get more than 10 minutes for lunch. :-)

Jamaica I did not realize you were in the retail business - I know that is tough- in Florida those jobs are terrible- lucky for my self I have the same,govt job for 25 years - my boyfriend got into commercial trucking- tried many retail again and was a machinist for 18 years- had 6 years of retail mgmy jobs- You deserve the wine!!!!!!- I won't elaborate on the retail jobs down here

I actually work for an engineering firm as an Administrative Assistant and the employee was a young engineer - in a different province. I believe this is a first for my nearly 16 years with the firm. I made a customer service agent for a phone card company in Florida cry a couple of years ago, but never a co-worker. Oh well. The courier company didn't deliver the paperwork on Friday so we have to finalize the employment tomorrow morning. Can hardly wait.
