Howitzerwife's Journal, 26 August 2009

I am stress eating for sure. I keep thinking of all the things I have to do and last week took me for a ride. Life will slow down in about 3 weeks. I cannot afford to keep eating like this. It does not change the situation. I have to find an outlet. With hubby gone 2-3 days a week for work, I don't really have a verbal outlet. EHHH!!! I'm making my bro's wedding cake next week (servings for 300 ppl). I'm excited about it yet to supress the eating I'd like it to be done and over. Our boys have come back home early cause at their moms they ran out of food. I'm dealing with a lot of crap right now! I have wonderful students in class except one who fake cries (no tears just LOUD NOISE) all day long except for naptime. I kinda wish nap was all day long at this rate. She turns two in October, came to our center after being home with grandma all day. Yea, you can see why she cries all the time. ; ) Well keeping busy but in all the wrong places...need to quit stuffing my face and hit the treadmill. Blah!

My personal belief is that you can talk to a 2 year old like a person - you know, say soothing things and explain to her that her crying is really making everyone unhappy and that it would really be good if she would try to play with the other kids without crying because everyone will listen to her if she talks and she doesn't have to cry. Might not change her behavior but at least you would know you tried!

Yeah I don't do the baby talk thing, I simply say yes your mom is coming and your gonna be alright. She's getting used to it, slowly but she is. : )
