M' Lord's Journal, 09 May 2023

My weekly weigh in isn't bad, nothing lost from yesterday but I'm down 5.2lbs in total this week. I was hoping to be 7lbs down for Thursday and that might still happen! I tried on a jacket that I received as a present about 2 years ago and it almost fits! I could wear it and I would look fine but i reckon by time I'm at 200lbs I'll feel comfortable in it so that was a huge boost. It has been slightly difficult this week with cravings this week and me and my partner went to a cat cafe and had scones, clotted cream and jam and there were no regrets. Combined we've lost 24lbs and it's all down to her brilliant cooking and mutual support. I'm only 5.8lbs away from my target but with me going to my parents for the weekend this might result in a little set-back but I'm OK with it, I've earned it. I'll try and stay as on track as I can but if I put on a little bit I can live with that and I'll get back on the horse the following week.
205.8 lb Lost so far: 16.4 lb.    Still to go: 30.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Thanks Chessnut! It does Bryony. We have different goals and mine is smaller but I've said that I'll keep it up to help her complete her goals like she has mine.

Hello M'Lords please give this little old woman Merry Mel a tip on how to lose so much in one week. What is your daily meals etc I really am stuck at 124lbs I should be 114lbs I am only 5 foot tall so need to be small. I have dieter for many a year but now I am over 60 and at stalemate. I won't pretend to know even half of what everyone in here knows Mel, I know people lose weight at different speeds and I honestly expected this amount of weight loss to take me 2 - 3 months but for some reason it has been a lot quicker. My partner makes fantastic meals and she's supporting me better than I would support myself. All we have done is make sure we are eating low calorie meals but with a lot of volume so we feel fuller, we have been very strict and always resisted our old treats, I've made sure to get a lot of steps in over a week and I've embraced the feeling of hunger! When I'm hungry I tell myself that it is my body burning fat and I stick to the plan. I've read that different genders and ages lose weight differently too Mel so you may not be doing anything wrong, in fact, 124lbs for a woman of 5ft is perfectly normal so don't be too harsh on yourself. Good luck though, Mel.
