I officially started Atkins July 19th after reading the Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution. I started it more to give my husband support. His starting weight was 372 and he's only about 5'8" so pretty much a big guy. After reading the book I felt like this is something my husband can really do because you can eat all the meat you want and that's what he likes...I mean he's a typical man. So after almost a full week in Induction, I'm down 3lbs and he's down 15 lbs!!! already!!! I feel great and next week I expect better results. I took a week off from running because of all the warnings about how the first few days you could feel fatigue, headaches, basic withdrawal symptoms from your body coming off sugar and now that I fell great I'm ready to hit the pavement...well treadmill as a cardiologist just recently told me that nobody's heart can handle running in this Texas heat :)

After almost a week...I can tell you I'm a big believer, fan, enthusiast over Atkins :)
