Problem: Scale out of batteries. It's been fluctuating pretty wildly recently. Makes me feel a little better. I figured something was wonky with it.
I'm almost sold on the concept of the Flat Belly diet. Almost. I'm not going to eat 1600 calories a day, but I like having the 1600 calorie option, and I can easily add a MUFA to every meal, keep every meal around 400 calories, eat more whole foods and more whole grains. I'm not following the exact meal plans in the book, but I'm adapting the principles to my diet.
Today was my lowest carb day *ever.* Yay! I actually kept it at 38% of my total calorie intake. (I'm not diabetic but diabetes runs in my fam and I've been hypoglycemic in the past, so with how stubborn my weight is I suspect I might be insulin resistant, so it's probably a good idea to keep overall carb intake further down than it's recently been.)
I cut it to a little less than half a can of sugared energy drink (by switching to low carb later, bleh, lol) and I ate a lot more protein (egg whites, eggs, protein powder, beans, etc). Before I go to bed, I'm going to have a little salad and drink some more tea.
