I have been having a good week, although I am not sure this planning ahead approach is working for me. I find that, even though I laid out a nice plan for meals through Friday, I have changed them each day. I don't eat something just because it is on my list. I see some merit in knowing how the day will play out and I have had success with planning ahead for restaurant meals and special occasions so I can stay within my plan. I cannot seem to let go of cooking or eating what I am in the mood for! Thankfully, I have been in the mood for pretty good food this week. :)
Today is the kids' last day of school. We are going out to dinner to celebrate. (I put it in the plan. :) ) I have put a lot of thought into how I am going to maintain my plan--eating and exercise--while the kids are home everyday. It has always been more challenging on the weekends, when I have to think about feeding everyone rather than just myself. I will also need to keep getting the daily workouts that I have come to enjoy. I have tried to prepare the kids for their summer of fitness. I will have to be mindful, but I think it can be done!

You can do it! As for planning ahead, I find that when I plan ahead, even if I make changes to my food plan, I always make better choices.
