I've been diagnosed as prediabetic. I am already taking HTN medication. So, begin again. Last weigh in one week ago, March 27 was 226. My most difficult time of day is after I get home in the afternoon. Please send whatever good mojo you may have. I need it.

Eat some protein instead of sweets. Supposedly protein takes away craving for chocolate...now;. wouldn't go that far but it does help curb your hunger.bI was a teacher and 330 was a trigger for me to eat. I would have a piece of chicken or leftover meat or even deli turkey. It would get me through till dinner.

I would definitely go in hard with low carb if I could do it all over again. I am now diabetic. It's easier to reverse prediabetes but back then I didn't understand low carb dieting and couldn't really manage it. Now I've been low carb for a year or two and it's become easier. HOw it works is that you still have a normal amount of calories a day, but you choose them from fat and protein, not protein and carb. This gives your system a 'rest'. High sugar in the blood is hard on the pancreas, it damages it, the trick being to control the sugar before you damage the pancreas too much. Here's a video about insulin from a doctor in Australia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBsnk2PtPeo, Currently I'm lowering my carbs by having a bento box full of meat, cheese, carrots, cabbage, olives etc (like mediterranean diet) for lunch, and a low carb wrap with heaps of meat, vege, mayonnaise, peanut sauce, for dinner. If you are hungry as soon as you get home, scoff down a couple of salmon and cream cheese keto cripsbreads, or eat your dinner immediately. Eating something high fat when I get home helps immensely. It's better energy, I don't suffer hunger the same at all. in fact, when I eat carbs I suffer hunger that reminds me of why I'm low carb nowadays, because the energy is inferior and I'm so uproariously hungry.

I struggle too. BUT it’s up to me NOT to consume. Many diagnosed as pre-diabetic are more healthy in a KETOGENIC diet as it stabilises blood sugars. Has your Dr mentioned a healthier diet for you? We here can and will always support you but it’s up to you to do the work. Good luck! 🙏

You can do this! Diabetes run's in my family and 4 years ago I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. I reversed it with diet and excercise. My primary could not believe it. I have been on many diets over my life but what I have been doing the last 4 years is working for me so I hope I have finally made a lifestyle change. You got this and use any resources that you can from your doctor.

When you walk in the house, you just want to eat, right? You are not alone in this craving. Find something that you can do that keeps your mind and body occupied for a while to break the craving cycle. When you feel hungry, drink a big glass of water and then distract yourself. Best wishes. You can beat this.
