Buffy, you can eat after dinner just make it small and something you really want, small meaning not a 20 ounce bowl of Ice Cream maybe a cupcake, 2 cookies, you are doing great

I eat some fresh blueberries at night - yummy and satisfying!

Rockie - If I can convince myself to only drink a hot cup of herb tea after dinner I'm golden. Hope your week continues to go well.

Nights can be my toughest time. When I'm on my game I try and reserve a few calories to allow a frozen fruit treat if I want to eat something. If I give in to sweets or carbs look out, hard to stop. Good job on your loss BuffyBear.

Nothing wrong with herbal tea after dinner should be good for the digestive system. Put a big note on the fridge :) Tea only

Tracy - I hear you loud and clear! Tonight I'll just picture you standing in front of my refrigerator blocking entry.

It was either that or stop buying the munchie foods. I suppose neither comment is really helpful lol. I am ruthless about no snack/junkfoods in our house because I have no will power. I figure if anyone wants anything they can get it somewhere else and/or they don't need it in the first place.

Jude - need to repeat that over and over as well.

Nicholaix - On the contrary - your comment is exactly what I needed to hear!

I think after supper is the hardest part of the day. I used to eat too late (9:00 because DH did) and then I tried to eat earlier (without DH) so I would have a good "fast" time. That didn't work either because the urge for something seemed even greater. Now, I try to eat my supper before 7:30 and if I can't fight the urge to snack, I will have a Fat Bomb and then go to bed directly. I am horrible about having little things in the house for DH but even with that, I am the one who will eat chocolate chips, syrup, peanut butter...no real will power so I have to literally sit on my hands and tell myself over and over that I don't need anything more for the day! I am hoping the day will come when I be satisfied with three meals and a couple of snacks during the day. At 68, I know after supper eating is truly just a bad habit...a habit that needs to be broken.

try sugar free gum...it helps the 'I need to chew' urge.

So I keep thinking about this, mostly because I am trying to avoid what I should be doing. How about you make up some servings of relatively guilt-free snacks depending on your WOE? Jello, popcorn( no butter or salt), celery and low cal dip, caramel tea, whatever, then grab those when the munchies hit?

Boom Chicka Pop popcorn is only 35 calories per cup and I think it's delicious!
