Oh, please don't give up! Your body is just doing what it feels it needs to. If you keep feeding it, it will eventually relent. It won't feel the need to hang on to every morsel and save some fat for a future day. I know there's almost nothing worse than the feeling of gaining weight, but think long-term -- it might be even worse to relegate yourself to 1,000 calories a day for a life time. You can train your body - or in other words - your body will adapt to the situation it's placed in. You may already know that if you subject your body to a low number of calories, like 1,000, it will adapt, by turning down your metabolism, in order to conserve everything possible. On the other hand, if you increase the number of calories, AFTER A WHILE, your body will adapt to it, and you will be able to maintain your weight at a much higher number of calories than you thought possible. BUT IT TAKES TIME! I wish you the best of luck. For me, I'm the type who doesn't want to be limited to so few calories for the rest of my life, (making it hard to get proper nutrition, etc) so I tend to eat on the plenty side. It also gives me lots of energy so that I can exercise at a good intensity and burn more calories. Hang in there -- keep eating right -- I suspect you're body is doing what it's supposed to behind the scenes -- you should see some good results in the not-to-distant future. My best wishes to you for all good things, good health and weight loss included!!!

Thank you for your words of encouragement! I have just been so frustrated!I know that my portion sizes have cut down ALOT!!! My husband is actually amazed and I have decided to run everyother day instead of every day to give my muscles time to heal from any damage that I my have causesd them. I'll keep plugging away and hopefully it will start to show soon! After 2-3 mos with some loss then gain it's hard!
