We have been out for the last few weeks collecting signatures for the November elections. In NY you need to collect a percentage of the registered voters to get on the ballot. The weather has been miserable for the most part, but I can't think of a better exercise than walking for 4 hours a day in the rain, snow, and wind - lol – I would rather be in the gym working out in a warm climate. However, the best way to represent the people is by meeting and talking with them. Here we are at a historic village in a subsection of our city. This town was the first state of the art community in the US. When it was built in the 1890's all the houses had electricity and in-door plumbing. Unfortunately, the area has fallen into disrepair. Over the next four years I have, as one of my objectives, to restore this area into something special. I would love to restore the pride people have who live in this area of the city.
