MissCynic's Journal, 06 May 2015

Dear low-carbers/keto-followers (and all you other lovely people over here) I'm in need of some help... So I've been doing the LCHF/keto thing for almost 2 months now (started before i came here). And I have the feeling the weight loss is too slow (at least for my size)... Since my last weigh in my weight has been standing still. Could any of you take a look at my food and exercise diary and tell me if I'm doing something wrong? Am I eating too much? Too little? I keep net carbs mostly under 20 (never over 30) and usually eat around 70% of my RDI (sometimes a bit more, but usually below that). Exercise most days (one day HIIT on stationary bike, next day 30 min just riding stat. bike, third day rest and then everything all over again), and in my journal I don't usually write all the stuff I do - cooking, cleaning, shopping etc...). So why am I not losing any weight? :( I'm feeling so discouraged...

Hello new buddy! Well, it looks to me like you're losing weight...4.4 lbs in 2 weeks, then 2.1 lbs the next 2 weeks. It might not be as fast as you'd like, but you're still losing and you'll figure it out as you go along :) My only suggestion is to eat more veggies, especially raw veggies, every day. And you might want to switch up your workout routine a bit. I would definitely add some strength training - whatever you can do - because as you lose weight, you also lose some muscle, so you'll want to replace that. Good luck! :)

You percentages of fat, carbs and protein look pretty good. You may be eating too many calories on some days - you may want to stay under 1800 per day and see how it goes. Also drink at least 10-12 glasses of water every day 0 that really helps. Good luck!

Thanks for the support guys!!! And the input, I'll make sure to do the things you've suggested. I've decided not to worry too much about the scale. I'm losing inches in my waist, and that's what's most important! Yeeeiii!!
