I thought your wife dressed you as a disc jockey. Read that a bit fast. Get well soon! Backs and knees can be the biggest pain. literally.

Bummer dude, I hope it's muscle and not a disc...

I'm sorry you're still in pain. Dealing with my own back problems over the years I ripped several towel racks & TP holders out of walls trying to get up. L3L4 was my first fusion but hopefully steroids, bed rest and PT will get you feeling better FAST!❣️

Give yourself the time you need to heal. You’ll be back before you know it. 🐢❤️🩹

Uh oh. Not good. I’m way too familiar with back pain. Had a Harrington rod put in for scoliosis when I was only 14. Do as your told by the drs!!

Please take the time and allow your body to focus on healing. Pain like that is your body trying to alert you to something important. I hope for the best outcome for you.

Thanks, guys. Urgent care physician wasn't very helpful and refused to prescribe an opioid for pain. He just sent me home with Valium. Went there 10/10 pain and left 10/10 pain. I have already complained to management and explained as a RN, I know this is unacceptable practice and will report it to the board and agency and this bill will not be paid. They need to stop treating people like drug seekers and treat them like patients again.

VALIUM— VALIUM? Oh good grief. I’m so sorry.

Isn't Valium for anxiety? He wouldn't give you anything for pain?

Oh no! Hope you are able to deal with pain! Back issues are the worst!!💜💜

@Breezy, it can be for anxiety. It is a Benzo and will decrease your CNS to help relax mind and body. But he knows I'm on Benzos (Xanax) for anxiety. So giving me more Benzos without pain meds is ridiculous. He also knows I'm on blood thinners and can't take NSAIDS (Ibuprofen, Aleve etc) and can only take Acetaminophen. Opioids are fine to take and would have helped a lot. But all of these scared physicians about the opioid crisis are hesitant. This is NOT okay and bad practice. My chart shows I haven't had an opioid since 2017 when I ruptured my bicep tendon. Clearly I'm not a damn drug seeker.

Oh crud!!!!! I’m so sorry. Agreed. Sometimes you just need meds. Doesn’t mean we r drug addicts. Thanks to drug addiction, it’s this way 🙄
Maybe try a chiropractor?

Sorry dude. You'll bounce back. I did...twice.

@Storms, I can't get into an appointment for a week with PCP. I can't dress myself at this point due to pain. I explained this to management at urgent care. My wife has off until Sunday. If I'm not functioning by then...how will I be able to care for my young children?
So, I either go to an ER and spend $2k and hope they treat me right. And they always do because they know I'm an ER nurse. Or, my wife takes off work and misses $800/day. Either way, we are screwed financially because the urgent care failed to care for the patient properly.
