mattstoc's Journal, 16 April 2015

AHHH - I hate my stupid brain and the food demons. last night I was at my daughters' track meet. I succumbed to the Frito Pie. Then my dumb brain kicked in and said "well you've blown your diet, you might as well go crazy"- which I proceeded to do. Kids wanted McDonalds after the track meet - Ok. Boom I eat 6 or 7 nuggets. I get home and BOOM 9 ounces of ham (I hope that is all it was). Chocolate chip granola bar - sure I'll have 3.

In then end I had a 2000 calorie feeding blow out last night.

I hate it when I do dumb stuff.

Anyway, I don't have a flux capacitor (or the requisite deLorean) so I am back on it today. I just need to be that much more observant and active the next few days.

These things happen to all of us. Just have to learn from these slips and strive to keep them from reoccurring.

I just did something very similar a couple days ago including 3 choc chip granola bars. You're not alone...let's adjust, move on and leave it in the dust behind.

Must be something in the water. I too have done that multiple times. I try to see where and why. Is it not enough protein? Tired? Discouraged? Fed up of eating the same thing? It happens. Shake it off and get back on. Can't be perfect all the time ;)

thanks for all the encouragement. I am back on it. I won't quit. The one thing that is different this time is I am exercising. As a result, I actually feel better in losing weight this time - I feel good. I don't want it to stop. But it doesn't take much loss of focus to make a mistake. Y'all be great.
