Beautiful Sunday today. The frost is cold but the sun is shining and the clothes are drying (hopefully LOL) and all is right with the world!

Normally I would go to church on Sunday but since our last big quake I am a bit frightened of sitting in that building in case it collapses. Irrational I know but I guess that is what almost 10 months of shaking will do to your brain LOL. It is lovely to spend the time with my hubby and I will still be spending time with God of course. But in our own house where I know how it reacts to big quakes LOL

The last few days have been quiet quake wise, in one way we are relieved and in another way we are on edge as it quietened down dramatically before each massive quake LOL. So we relax but we don't. Does that make any sense?

Gonna try and get some housework done today, and I found some yummy low carb recipes I want to try. I will let you know how they go.

Okay enough rambling - hope you are having a great day!

hugs

God is everywhere, not just in that church building, so no worries there. Perfectly understandable why you're not comfortable being in that building. Didn't you say services were held outside a few months back? Maybe not now due to the weather? In any event, have a restful, quiet day.

Squiggs, as Jesus said...For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Matthew 18:20...God understands your reticence to enter those buildings and as long as you are worshipping Him, no worries. Hope you have a wonderful, blessed Sunday! Hugs, my sweet friend!

Hi, Squiggly! I agree with Sandy; God is everywhere his people are and there are a whole lot of them that aren't to be found in church buildings! Being relieved that you've had no more quakes but not knowing if and when the next will occur is not really relaxing. It's more like being on alert just in case. Enjoy your day with your hubby and try out those recipes! Hugs and prayers headed your way!

Thanks Sandy. Yeah the weather is pretty cold now, Hubby and I walked around outside for a while and when I came back in I got a headache from going from cold to warm LOL. I love frosts though! Cold but sunny winter days are the best....

I totally agree Pam. I do like the fellowship though, and so does my hubby. We are usually some of the last to leave LOL. I totally agree about the not really relaxing. Not sure we will ever really relax again but hey we are alive and that is the main thing! And if we weren't then we would be with God in Paradise and that would be even better! Thanks for the hugs and prayers!

Hi ya Squigg, so sorry you don't feel safe in your church. I don't blame you at all for not taking a chance on it falling in one ya..there is a man that has put a prayer tent up some where in VA I don't know quite where. but any way people can go at any time of day and pray and just talk with GOD..One day the wind got up and tore it all up and he didn't put it back until people kept stopping by his home and asking where the prayer tent was.. Any way he got a new one and people are going there to pray..How nice is that... Maybe something like that could be done where you are..Its a thought any way...Love and Hugs...Bren

Wow, still have quakes. I would have gone mad by this point. I live in California so we do get one now and again. And they are small ones. Can't imagine what you are going through.

Hi Squiggly, I have an odd connection to you concerning the quakes. I am in central Florida and a few short years ago we were bombarded with hurricanes, numerous, and one after another. That was followed by more the following year. Everyone was "shell shocked", hurricane weary and tired of dealing with all of the inconveniences following a natural disaster like that. So I have empathy with you and the repeated quakes... we do not get them here (one in every 100 yrs. or so), but I know the fatique and fear you speak of. Just keep Christ in your heart and don't worry too much about the building, as the other fine people have pointed out a building is not really the church... it's indeed a meeting place, but it's not necessary to have a building to worship. Have a wonderful week!

Honey, what you call the church is just a building where people go to worship. But it is the members of that place that constitute the "Church". You are the church. While it is typical of people to go to one place together; if you are not feeling safe going - then be the church where ever you are.

Sounds like we both checked out for awhile. Glad to see you're back. Sorry about the quakes. I hope that's the end of it. I've finished my novel, actually two, and now have to get redirected to the weight loss thing. Sitting on my rump in front of a computer hasn't helped. We're finally getting nice weather after a long, rainy spring. Painted the house yesterday and still had a nice BBQ for our 4th of July celebration.

Squiggs, my grandmother has not attended church in many years due to a bad knee at first she was upset as she was not in the "house" of God but then the one pastor told her "God is everywhere, if you cannot come to church he is still with you no matter where you are." After she heard that she was fine with observing the sabbath in her own home and has done so every sunday. I think it is totally understandable as to why you do not want to go into those buildings I would not be going in them for the same reasons.
