How can I be bummed/proud of myself all in the same minute? Well, I'll tell you...
We went grocery shopping last night in preparation for Canada Day! And normally when we shop, we buy food (duh) and we also get a couple snacks for when we get home. So as we shop, I actually bought MY OWN FOOD! Yes, when the kids and husband are eating frozen pizza, I will be having a lean cuisine. When they are having sausages, I will be having chicken breast. I'm sooooo proud of myself! Another proud moment. For snacks I got blue tortilla chips (Dietitian told me IF you need chips, these are the best for you) and salsa, and little rice crackers. So proud! Husband had oatmeal cookies at 180 calories each (he had 4), and a bag of dill pickle crispers. I'm not judging! Because last week that was me there with him, thinking ONE bag of chrispers and 6 cookies between us was NOT enough! So as I watch him, as I salavate, I'm also so happy I made that choice.
Now the bummer. I had my chips and salsa at 10pm!! WTF is that?? So of course, all my hard work went down the tubes, and I'm up 0.4lbs. Live and learn! Today is a better day. I will drink ALL my water, I will stop eating at 7pm. I will go for a walk (or 2)...
