Was disappointed to discover I gained 4lbs, which was everything I’ve lost in the few weeks since I started. I haven’t done well with the calories this last week but I’m still eating a lot less than I used to, so maybe I’m just stopping myself getting heavier?
It’s hard because I love baking and my husband hates sugar substitutes (I’m not wild about them either). I made hot cross buns and they are hard to resist straight from the oven, with melting butter… 😋😩. I do know that the sweet things I make aren’t as sweet as ready-made or packet baked goods, as I use traditional recipes from the UK which don’t use anywhere near as much sugar - my (American) husband loves them which is a bonus 😆. If I don’t bake, he goes out and buys the super-sweet stuff which I don’t really like because all I can taste is sugar.
Maybe that’s better! But not good for him…
