Weight loss journal

On the last day of our Greek island cruise I could tell I was coming down with something. The next day (June 13) I woke up with a sore throat. The start of a nasty cold. Since I was somewhat chagrined about all the photos of me taken on the cruise (fat and old) I decided to at least work on the fat part.

Monday, June 13 Approximately 210. I did not weight myself as we were still aboard the ship. Ate scrambled eggs and sausage for breakfast. Not much else the rest of the day. Felt miserable (sick). Did not eat chocolate bar they gave out on plane.

Tuesday, June 14 through Saturday, June 18. Finally did get around to weighing myself after a couple of days home. June 16 weighed 205 so I think I was higher and started to lose. Not eating much. Hunger pangs very strong. Eating very little. Almost fasting a couple of days. Still sick. Saturday I cleaned out Frig and defrosted freezer. Overdid it. Very sick again that night. Also gave myself enema. Paid for it later. Had to take sleeping pill to get to sleep. By end of week below 205

Sunday, June 19 Below 204 Sick. Stayed home all day. No breakfast or lunch. Ate dinner. ½ zucchini boat. Did have raspberries/1/2 banana/cream. Very satisfying.

Monday, June 20 202 Skipped bfast. Ate meatballs for lunch. Immediately thereafter had diarrhea. Ate apple without opening jar of peanut butter. Minor victory. Tuna noodle casserole for dinner. Small portion. Raspberries/banana/cream again.

I googled Body Weight Set point. Very good information. I am convinced the body wants to maintain a certain weight and found information on why that is. But set points can change or be changed. Hence getting harder to lose weight at you get older. Bottom Line: in addition to cutting calories I will need to increase exercise if I expect to do this in a timely fashion. I am shooting for 150 by November 1. Run/walk and lift weights.

Tuesday, June 21 201. I know the loss is not real but it feels good to se the scale at 201. Again skipped bfast but had chicken breast, apple and peach for lunch. Quite hungry all the time. Strong urge to eat. 2 Italian sausage links with onions for dinner. Finally quelled the pangs. Ate raspberries/1/2 banana again.
