One of sixteen trees that have been cut from a once beautifully tree lined road that is part of my exercise route. They'd been marked with a painted ring for cutting. I have always looked forward to this part of my walk, to the bird songs, squirrel chasing and hammering downy woodpeckers. This has really changed the experience. So sad to see just stumps. There are only three trees left now.

In the process of adjusting to seasonal changes. I was surprised to see a 1 lb. loss on the scale this morning after carb loading yesterday. The weather is cooler and I think it's affecting my food and exercise choices. I'm adjusting. I put a good food and exercise plan together for today. I prepared my salad ahead. That makes it easier to stick with my healthier habits. Also, removing my salad from the refrigerator earlier is helpful. Salads are easier for me to eat in cooler weather when they aren't icy cold. I find the same to be true for water drinking. I'm starting with these simple fixes and will see if they make a difference. I'll also be making those last trips to the outdoor farmers markets. It's always a nice experience. It's a chance to get additional exercise and fresh leafy greens!

That's great losingtowin1 on your weight loss, I like drinking room temperature water also and I don't like my salads to cold either.

Thanks Buenitabishop :) It's been so cold! Argghh, we are dipping to freezing tonight but thankfully back in the sixties tomorrow.

I literally factored in the number of trees in the backyard when buying a house. That may seem ridiculous unless you've ever been to Long Island and witnessed the smaller plots of land here... here people are scared of trees because the houses are close together and no one wants a tree to fall on their house... 💔 for your lost trees.

I am sorry for the loss of the trees, I always feel sad when trees are cut down, we loose so much.

@Gwzfire I understand. Roots as well can cause plumbing and foundation problems.

@Sidnay123 I agree. They add so much beauty. One of the three remaining has brilliant orange leaves now. I loved seeing that today :)
