Haha I hear you! I live by Milkwaukee and like EVERY inch of interstate is under construction so all the other routes into the city are super busy from people avoiding it. Also, we move into our new house Monday and construction in front of it started yesterday...of course we didn't find out until like last week...blah!

In New England we don't have 4 seasons, we have 2: winter, and road construction.

Guess you're talking about the beloved and much cursed at potholes. Got behind a county truck today and he just threw out the filler onto the road, missing most of the holes and we all got to drive through it and get it stuck in the tires to be slung under the car. Special.

Ha HA - In Minnesota the two seasons are "shovel and swat" (Mosquitoes the size of 747 airplanes!)

Laughing as all your posts! I've been swearing at construction all winter! I work smack in downtown Kansas City, they are adding a streetcar that goes about 2 miles. They have all the main streets blocked or torn up so getting to and from work is a ginormous challenge daily. You never know what will be open or closed. Everyone enjoy the waremer weather. Have a great day off IC!

CR I would not mind losing, but I'll take maintaining rather than gaining.

I did manage to get out yesterday. There's a small patch of wood near me. The girlfriend and I managed to traipse through there while running errands. This year is definitely better than last year as far as potholes go. Last year I was driving behind a little two seater and it just disappeared. Pity.

Good that you had a chance to traipse through the woods.

LOL! @ two-seater joke. I will have to find a way to use that one with my husband and his sporty car. He insists on driving it in bad weather. He loves the thing.

It almost did happen. I really was driving behind a little two seater and there was A HUGE pothole, but she swerved. My mind being the way it is immediately went to wondering what would have happened if she hadn't swerved. I just figured the city would have paved over the car and given her a commemorative plaque for helping them fill in the hole.

rofl.... Like they'll be doing with the houses that get swallowed up by sinkholes.

Oh my!! My daughter actually totaled her ford escort driving into a huge pot hole years ago, she was 16. Totally ripped out the underside. Luckily no one was hurt.

LMBO at IC's pot hole stories! I never knew that about the houses in the sink holes, either, CR. Dang! One never knows, does one? *eyebrows twitching up and down*. That is awful about your daughter's car WFN. Glad she wasn't hurt. It's a wonder she ever wanted to drive again after that.

Kidding about the plaque at the houses. But in Florida, lots of sinkholes. Even up North. One in NJ sucked up a snow plow last month.

Our city is having a pot hole blitz after the snow plows the past few weeks. Wonder if they will get them all. All the ones downtown hurt his alignment regularly.
