Mom2boxers, is asking about a coon update. Dogs were nuts this this morning, made them come in earlier than usual before heading for work. Had to get trash out before leaving, 1 coon in the traps spitting, hissing not happy. So yay!! They took it away set a new trap, I heard at least 2 gallivanting in the attic tonight. Also the mouse total is up to 4. Need to get more traps, I sweep them traps and all, traps are cheap.
Wallpaper glue residue update: I'm now stripping who knows how many layers of wallpaper some coated with paint off my kitchen. The goof off also took the vinyl coating off the wallpaper, but not where the glue still mostly remains. That dang glue is tough!!!
Still not much exercise, life getting in the way and only so many hours in the day. Would love to take a week off work, not an option, 3 day weekend coming up YAHOO!!
At least back to logging food. Hoping to get to Sprouts tomorrow for some fruits and veggies but depends on the plumber. He will probably be Thursday along with the official coon damage estimate, but maybe tomorrow.

You got a coon in the trap! So, this was one that was outdoors, right? I suppose getting them while they are outside is a plan after all! 4 mice, too! You are making some headway! Thanks for posting. I have been wondering. Glad you have a 3 day weekend ahead of you!

Still hear a couple coons in the attic. He put the traps outside where they are climbing the rain gutters to get to the roof. Did spend too much at Sprouts yesterday, but have a good supply of fruits and veggies, some I will dry in the dehydrator for bird food.

I would love to have a Sprouts near me. You must have thought you were in heaven with such a selection. Your parrot is one lucky birdie to get all this fresh food.

I'm loving having a natural food store closer. Parrot food has skyrocketed in price 16.00 for 1.5 pounds, he throws about 50% on his cage floor. Have been researching parrot nutrition so am working on a recipe that he likes and is good for him, I do need to add some dried animal protein. So far he does not like kale, and from previous I know he hates sunflower seeds with shells but likes the hulled. May save me money and give him a better diet.

Trapping mice more successful than the coons, but a start. I hate them. Didn't get the mouse traps reset so just set out 3 new ones in my pantry. The pest company owner came and gave me an estimate and is going to come back tomorrow and move the coon traps, the kid working for him quit yesterday, replaced my trap with no bait. Showed him that, sheesch!! owner was not happy. Probably the insulation removal will start next week.

We once had a mouse war at our house - and we have two cats in the house! LOL

Ooo, used to have cats, no mouse issue. Every year now I say I should get a cat. No, No, No, don't ever want to clean litter boxes again.... will have deal with setting traps. Have to get more this weekend.

Coon. oooh. Makes a big city girl's skin crawl. (Although my bf would probably make friends with it.) Well done getting it trapped, I say. Definitely yay to a 3 day weekend. Have a wonderful weekend.

WFN it might not be a great idea getting a cat as long as your parrot is around! Ha Ha! Our cat loved hunting birds. I don't know of anyone that reuses their mousetraps. Enjoy your weekend. Happy Friday the 13th!!!

They have done a lot of damage. I do not like coons in my attic. I used to live in the country, I now live in the city. Coons are dang mean. mmmmmmm Actually if you raise a kitten with a bird there is usually not an issue. Parrots are tough and mean, a tiny parrot can terrify a cat or a dog if they are raised with the bird. You can often leave them loose with no problem. my Jazzy, boston mix is still too crazy to leave my bird loose.
