Hello TJ Be there or be square, you said. As we agreed, I went kayaking yesterday after swimming in the rainy ocean. My objective was to support your effort to meet the mid term weight loss milestone, which is not far away at all. I am not a good verbal cheerleader, but maybe I can support you back in action? You are my buddy. Actually, my ulterior motive was that I wanted to see you in your nice office clothes, the shirt tucked in and all. Oh, and I wanted to see my gators again. Alligators are elusive when I look for them. Yesterday I decided to avoid them, as I was tired and the kayak was not cooperative, and guess what, one of the gators decided to swim parallel to my kayak. He was a fast swimmer. By the way, Michael Henderson died. He was the bassist for Miles Davis, and probably my favorite bassist. Be careful Yfritz…alligators scare the crap out of me😱. I hope you’re ok. Sometimes hearing about the death of people I enjoy reminds me of the reasons I loved them and the people who used to walk beside me…it dredges up many bittersweet memories.

Suma, can you see the gator in this photo? It’s kinda hard to see… he was huge though. Gators scare me too. The lad at the kayak rental booth said gators would leave me alone, he was like “ma’am you look like you don’t even need a life vest. Have fun.” A liar! This gator kept surfacing right next to my kayak.
I spent far too many years grieving the death of loved ones. Now I stop and think, is there anyone who’d shed a tear if I’m mauled by an alligator???🐊

HCB, Google says there are only 1,000 gators in NC. There got to be way more gators than that, I was chased by 3 of them yesterday!🐊🐊🐊 I demand re-counting.

PS Suma, I’m glad you see the beauty in this region. The US South is a gem but I feel that it’s grossly misunderstood. One must live here and survive a hurricane or two to appreciate its true ethos. I learned to love this state when I was a student nurse and thrown into its deep core and dark secrets.

Ocean girl, let’s get this right😂 I am not fearless, I was SCARED! As a matter of fact I panicked, frantically made a stupid u-turn to get away from the gator, then got myself stuck in the submerged trees. I think it’s their mating season now. Male gators produce infrasound to attract female. The infrasound causes vibration and generate bubbles. So, stay away if you see a bunch of bubbles on the water surface! I didn’t know😭🐊

You truly incredible, that must have been some exciting experience. So 👍 it’s ok to have fear it shows respect for the animals. But you didn’t let fear get in the way of your courage. Well done 👏👏👏💪

YF, first and foremost Thank You for the support! It is appreciate, and greatly accepted. Secondly, and It’s with silly negative acknowledgement I was not able to get in my machine this weekend. It was a three day swim meet that I somehow forgot about. When I remembered I was embarrassed and it was only me that knew. 😊
Trust me, it was not a lazy weekend and blew past my daily steps and exercise goals so I am there. But, to make up for my false advertising I will hit the Rower the next three days. Tomorrow will be brutal at 5 AM. 😳
Love your adventure on the kayak. My neighbor takes his kayak on the bay/ocean fishing almost daily. Difference is he has an electric motor😝.

TJ😱 you stood me up!😭 it’s ok, was it your daughter’s swim meet? You got your priority straight👍🏼 Don’t miss the swim meet. We will set another date sometime. No pressure though, please don’t feel bad. I don’t give up on people easily. My patients never respond to my support right away, sometimes it takes months (or never). There is nothing sweeter than the moment when patients finally respond to my support. Especially those who are crusty, morose, bitter and outright noncompliant. They often turn out to be true soldiers, and they actually even bother to remember my name. So, yes, I know not to be disappointed when being stood up😂👍🏼
