I am very sorry about your dad. My dad was my biggest loss so far in life— but, I talk to him all the time and ask his expert opinion and I can hear his voice in my head. His answer is not always the one I want to hear but the one that usually turns out to be right.— damn it. It takes time but you will get there. Mean time take care of yourself which means don’t go off the rails and undue what you have accomplished so far. You know that would not make him happy.

Sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is never easy. My mother passed away a little over 4 years ago and I still have times when I could use her advice. Prayers to you and your family

So sorry for your loss. My mom passed several years ago and there are still times I think I need to call mom for some bit of info. Usually when I'm baking or trying to remember an event. I know this will not set well with some, but I went back to work after a week. It kept my mind from wandering to dark places.

Give yourself time and space to grieve. Too often the world wants us to keep going as if nothing had happened. I am so sorry for your loss 💔

My heart hurts for you. Losing someone is so heart wrenching and life changing. When my son died I would think of him during exercise, mostly walking and talking to him. You keep him close to you that way.

Take a break for now. If you push yourself, you'll get burned out later. That's what happened to me when I returned to school the day after my dog died. I ended up getting burned out and dropping out a few months later.

I'm so sorry about your dad. After I lost my dad only 5 weeks after my mother, I spent a week outside with a shovel and dug a garden. I hurt all over - While my body was taking a beating on the outside, mentally I needed alone time and this helped a lot. My hubby knew to just let me be. I hope you find a way to process this. Hope your good memories come flooding back to help bring comfort and peace.

Think— I get it, my mom died in the hospital where I worked while I was on shift. I had made the decision to stop treatment and no resuscitation was to be initiated. My dad and sister were with me and after she passed I just went back to work. That is what I knew, that’s where I found comfort. It was expected, she had cancer. I just remember being relived and grateful that it was over for her and she was at peace.

So sorry for your loss. I know most people are telling you to take a break and that’s all dependent upon how you process grief. Sometimes working up a good sweat releases other things from our body such built up sadness, stress, and frustration all of which I’m sure your feeling.
