It is time to be honest with myself... I FELL OFF HARD. But, as of Monday, I am back at the gym and back to tracking my meals. I am thinking about trying out the 16/8 fasting method starting next week, this week I am going to focus on getting back into my routine of workouts and tracking. I KNOW I can do this.. because I have already done it.
166.4 lb Lost so far: 17.6 lb.    Still to go: 1.4 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

I don't think 16/8 it's going to work at my pov is the worst method to lose weight. I'd keep with a 1300-1400 calories per week and the regular workout and just do a little bit of cardio. If you're going to eat "junk food" track it.

Two things: I completely understand how you feel, but for a “hard fall” a 1.5 pound gain ain’t sh*t. It’s most likely water and glycogen and will be gone in 5 days. Also, everyone will have their opinions re the “best” way to do things. Be open and flexible. definitely try IF in your desired window, but if it looks like it’s not working, move on. No need to double down if it isn’t your bag. It all boils down to creating a deficit, you just need to find what works for you. Blessings and good luck.

Great advice are, “try it, and if it doesn’t work, move on” many times people go into diets like it’s a religion. Where they refuse to see that it’s not working
