workout was good yesterday and today. Yesterday, I walked/ran for 30 mins and rowed for 5 mins, and then yoga for an hour. It made me sweat!!! Fueling up before the workout and eating well the night before worked out great as I was able to feel more energetic.
Today was my personal trainer session, before which I warmed up and did 30 mins of walk/run on treadmill with 2.18 miles, and 8 mins as the longest run interval. The personal trainer session focused on all legs stuff and core exercises: squats of 3 sets with 50 pounds bar, lunges side and front of 20 reps with 5 pound weights also 3 sets each. Quads of 3 sets, calves 3 sets, and then core: obliques 10 reps, and leg throwdown 3 sets of 10 reps. The trainer has given me homework for tomorrow and I'm excited to do it! Oh, and I feel excited to report that the squats with the weights felt so much easier that he upgraded the weight AND made me do more reps and sets. And for the first time in my life, I ran on the track--did 2 laps, and learned the proper form. Tomorrow I have to do 3 sets of 4 laps each, totalling to 1 mile!!!! Stay tuned!
Meals: Today got a little out of hand (went over points insidiously!) protein shake 1/2 serving before workout and 1/2 after: 3 pts scrambled eggs: 7 pts coffee with cream 3 pts almonds 2 pts airpopped popcorn 2 cups: 1 pt butter 2 tsps: 2 pts oil 2 tsp: 2 pts chicken stiry fry (3) total: 23 points

I love how excited you sound about exercise! What a wonderful change for you. Have you taken some before measurements so you can track your progress? If not, it's still not too late! I'm looking forward to hearing all of your progress. I'm staying tuned!

50lb bar, holy crap! I'm doing a similar work out with BP, and I only do about 15 lbs! Great job, keep up the great work, you're gonna have a "hawt" bod girl!

I'm so frienvious of your having a personal trainer! That is so cool. Um... did you really have chicken stir fry? Or was that "chick'n" stir fry? Just asking!

Hey Evelyn! Welcome back!! I have to go over to your journal and hear about your travel adventures...I'll look into doing the measurements real soon. Amryk, yeah, it was mock chicken (morningstar veggie chicken strips), and my personal training sessions are ending soon..only about 3 more..and then I'll be back to having to push myself on my own! :( Kim, Thanks, girl! Let's keep comparing notes about our strength training..it's the best incentive to see progress!
