awc5587's Journal, 25 March 2007

I've been feeling horrible, guilty, stressed, fat and so on and on. I've gained three-fourths of my weight back in just a few weeks. Of course, I blame no one but myself. One thing I will mention however, is that I no longer have the same schedule as when I first started FF. My scheduling is much tighter, I have two to three classes each day for five days a week. Most of these days I get no lunch break and don't have enough time to have breakfast, leaving me very hungry and very tired by the end of the day. I have no time to cook a healthy dinner by then so I resort to eating out; I've noticed it's been getting worse and worse as the weeks progress. From mild noodle soup to pizza and processed burgers. It's sick really, because I think these foods are the most disgusting things I can put into my body however eat it anyway. I have tried to cook my dinner before hand, so that when I come home I can just turn on the oven and stick that marinated chicken and presto it's done. I've only found that successful one time. I hope that my next entry is due to more positive results, however I don't see it happening too soon, or at least until I can get my schedule worked out.

I know it's hard with a full time schedule... I am a full time working mom and it is difficult. Some things that I have done that may help you as well is that I take about an hour on Saturday or Sunday after I have gone to the store and I chop up all of my veggies for the week including cucumbers, peppers, lettuce and celery. I put them into snack zip lock bags that are ready to go when I am running out the door or need a quick snack. I also make up a large batch of ground turkey with cumin, cayenne, and tomatoes for taco salads for lunches and dinners. Another easy meal is tuna fish with onion, celery, peppers. I always bake at least 6 chicken breast at a time so I can have for a meal or snack. I know that you can do this you just need to plan out your week a little more in advance and know that you can do it... We are all here to support each other because we are all working towards the same goal. Keep up your commitment to be your best Stacy

My heart goes out to you... I feel like I have been on the low carb diet carousal for the last 4 years. The FF diet seems to be working the best for me because it so strongly emphasises the protein/fat combination. What seems to be working for me, because usually i am FLYINg out the door in the am, is the protien shake with frozen berries or strawberries, with the added fat of flax seed oil. I then typically have a couple of hard boiled eggs on hand for the protein fix later that am. also, I hate to talk up specific stores but those Trident frozen salmon burgers and turkey burgers from cost co have been life savers for me. Well, my best to you and don't give up!!!

Hi, me too with the busy schedule and travel as well. Ditto on the other suggestions, and would like to add that those little frozen meatballs are fast and easy in the microwave and taste pretty good at room temp. Pizza places sell salads. Grab an apple or an orange. Just look for FF friendly choices, they are everywhere. All the best, don't give up... you're not the only one:))
