Tried on last summer's clothes and none of the shorts or bathing suits fit! I had to go buy some cheap shorts from Forever 21. They fit but are super short. I haven't worn shorts this short since I was 17. I'm still not convinced that anyone other than 17 year olds can get away with wearing them. I'm afraid to put them in the dryer...they will be unwearable if they shrink.
The only bathing suit I have that fits right now is a one piece speedo from when I was 15. It is about 9 years old and the butt is completely see-through so I have to wear gym shorts over it. Not sexy. I have a super-long torso so it is hard to find one piece bathing suits that fit. I ordered a bikini (my first since high school) from J-Crew but the bottoms were too big so I had to return them. I figure I'll be comfortable wearing the bikini by the end of June. I still have a tiny bit of belly fat left to get rid of and am self-conscious about it.
It has been an awesome 2 weeks (Fleet foxes concert last Thursday, won tickets to see the same band Friday on Jimmy Fallon, cousin came to visit for the weekend, got a great internship for the summer) and I've actually started running outside which is harder but always feels great. I have to get up early to do it before it gets too hot so I get an early start to my day. I'm SO GLAD i did the c25k thing. Running has helped me drop weight a lot faster than intervals on the elliptical ever did. It also forced me to stick to a workout schedule.
This weekend I'm going to a bluegrass festival in MD with my boyfriend and one of our friends who is flying in from out west. I'm super excited. I went last year with the same friend and it was so much fun. I am packing my sneakers and some work-out clothes so I can try and squeeze in a run. I'm also packing the makings for sandwiches so I don't have to eat too much greasy festival food. I figure I will drop some more weight this weekend simply because it will be too hot and humid to eat much or drink anything other than water.
