I have...I wont lie its abit intense, usually you are given one hour to eat a meal and fill in all those calories. short term i believe it works but definitely not long term. I prefer intermittent fasting because you are given more hours to eat, usually four hours to eat until your window period is done. Both Omad and IF show amazing results! and it also shrinks your stomach, I use to eat a full burger with chips easily but now I hardly have room for chips. everyone is different so listen to your body😊🌻✨️some of the masses follow Keto others IF and others Omad...its all about what works for you and the results getting there

Oh and before I forget, alot of people think because you are on Omad you can eat whatever because you will still make up the calories. not recommended, rather eat clean because your body really needs the nutrients to build muscle, clear water retention and you will also get headaches, nausea etc its called the "flu"...just means your body is noticing a change so it will become stubborn and fight you but after 3-5 days you will feel like a new person.

Thank you, I will definitely eat clean. I will still consume my calories for the day too. I unfortunately find it hard to eat a few times during the day because it truggers my binging so much. Going to try omad but if it doesn't help I will try the 4 hours gap

Yes, I have. Since Jan. I use to eat just for the fun of it. Started with 16/4 then 20/4 in December. End January went to OMAD. First 2 or 3 weeks was difficult on OMAD. It got a lot easier after that. So much so I don't get hungry anymore and can only eat a small meal in the evenings. Apple cider viniger and water with pinch of salt helped me during the start to get past the hunger.

Yes... I lost 18.5kg in 3.5months doing OMAD. But it's before I learned about calorie counting so I know I was definitely under eating. Negative would be that it's not sustainable. It's hard to fit just 1 balanced meal into a social lifestyle.

@Ms. Harrison I also recommend IF . It really helps plus I can go for hours without craving anything unclean.

I think OMAD is great for weight-loss and I have lost 25kgs in 3 months but I started with IF 16:8 then I gradually transitioned into OMAD. OMAD was never part of the plan but the fasting just got easier and easier until I found myself in OMAD and the weight just melted off. I also don’t believe in eating all the wrong foods just because you are on OMAD, whole healthy meals are still the best. Also a glass of water with 2 tablespoons of ACV will assist with cravings.🌻

As someone that also struggles with binging (and purging 😢) I have made a decision that OMAD will happen no more than once a week. Although it is effective for weight loss, I think it could also be extremely triggering, because you get in this cycle of eating a huge meal in order to "make up" for not eating until that point. I think especially if you are struggling with a healthy food relationship this might be difficult. In addition especially for a woman it is extremely important to balance hormones in order to lose weight - the focus needs to be "get healthy to lose weight, not lose weight to get healthy". Fasting naturally places stress on your body, stress increases cortisol, and cortisol is a fat storing hormone. So there is the possibility that OMAD too much have a negative effect in the long run. It is also not sustainable over the long term - I try and focus on things one can do for the rest of your life, and not just to lose weight for a few months and then go back to "normal" because then you hit normal and then gain weight again. I'm sorry I know you've been struggling and I truly hope you find answers and routines that you can implement for life ❤️ and if you do you can tell me. It's not a daily struggle anymore, but I will not say my binge/purge demons are just gone. I hope for long term healing myself ❤️

OMAD or any form of fasting is not the direct causation of weigh loss. THE ONLY WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT IS TO BE IN A CALORIE DEFICIT. Therefore, the reason why a lot of people lose weight with fasting and OMAD, is because they are restricting their calories throughout the day. Naturally most people doing fasting and OMAD are in a calorie deficit and so they lose weight. I wouldn't recommend fasting for women because, as mentioned, fasting places a lot of stress on the body which can badly impact a women's hormones. For someone who has any sort of eating disorder history, like binge eating, I would certainly not recommend OMAD. It is one of the worst things you can do. The reason why most people develop binge eating disorders is because of restriction. They restrict for long periods of times and then eat everything in sight because they feel hungry and deprived. One of the best solutions to cure binge eating is to eat at least three balanced(protein, fat, carbs) meals and some snack. You also have to allow yourself to have all foods and learn to not classify certain foods as "bad" and "good". Only when you stop assigning moral value to food, will you be able to start to heal your relationship with food. I recommend you follow @betterwithbalance on Instagram. She has some great advice and tips on food, weight loss, and binge eating.
