Yesterday, storms were on the way, I still can't go to the gym...what to do since I am itching to be doing SOMETHING. I decide to run with the dogs. Just a short one, don't want to re-irritate the hemmrhoids and running with two dogs might be challenging. I put their packs on, pull out the dopler leash, and off we go.
At first they were like...WTH? What is she doing? Then they got in to it. Was a good run. Did have a little trouble just before we reached the house, was another dog on a leash. Since they can't wear their training collars with the dopler leash it was a bit harder to get them refocused. Started to rain just as we got in the house. Dogs were down for the count all night.
Any runners out there, do you suffer from allergies? I had a hard time with controlling my breathing outside. The pollen coupled with the humidity had me gasping. Anyone know how to mitigate this?

Hi Mamma, proud of the fact you ran with the pain you must have had. I wish I could help you in the breathing department but I have asthma and can not run or I will get out of breath while doing so. I do how ever do a yoga breathing exercise that make your lungs exspand. And I breath slowly and deep while walking. Hope you have a great day...Bren

Do you take anything for your allergies? This is the worst year ever for allergies (said the guy on the weather channel yesterday AM). I am on Singulair and it does help me for the outdoor runs. But, overall, it is hard not to gasp and suffer during the humidity and pollen. To solve my issues, I run on a treadmill, with climate control and fans blasting in my face hahahah!

Spring is the only time I take OTC allergy meds. Usually Claritin (loratidine). I also take Benedryl at night and use my homeopathic relief stuff during the day. After all that rain, today I am really congested even with all that stuff in me. I seem to be okay with the breathing when I run indoors, but the dogs don't get the benefit of that :(

A blonde goes into the beauty and hair parlor wearing headphones on her head."I need to take those headphones off your head," says the beauty specialist as she notices the blonde."You can't! I'll die!" says the blonde."I can't cut your hair with the headphones on your ears!" says the beauty specialist getting annoyed. "I said you can't take it off, or I'll die!" The beauty specialist, outraged and flustered, grabs the headphones and throws it off the head of the blonde. Within seconds, the blonde dies. When the specialist picks up the headphones to listen, she hears it repeating "breath in, breath out, breath in breath out ".
