ljg1414's Journal, 15 June 2009

here we are on Monday and I am already worried about getting back on track for the week. I am really struggling with striking a balance. I either go to the gym 5x a week for a few weeks and then do not workout at all for a few weeks.

I am trying to limit social activities so that I am not eating/drinking out so much during the week but I am a social person and my husband works nights so it is nice to meet up with friends after work instead of going home to an empty apartment.

I was looking at some of the exercise challenges but will that really hold me accountable?

I know I am full of excuses and I am the only person that can find motivation for myself but I just wish it wasn't so hard and such a committment.

you said it buddy! you are the only one!! maybe you are comfortable the way you are now and you don't need to change anything. if so, don't fight against yourself because it's very depressing to feel like you're failing. or maybe you are not ready to make this commitment. do you really want to loose weight? I'n not accusing or judging you. I'm just trying to help because sometimes I feel the same and I have to ask myself the good questions!

I completely understand your question is not being judgemental but just asking the truth. It is funny b/c I was thinking about it this morning and it is not that I don't want to loose weight but I just seem to have excuse after excuse. As I have mentioned I am not a lover of exercise but it is what really helps me shed the pounds. I just had a doctor's appointment and she checked my thyroid I am tired a lot and wandering if that is playing a role in my general laziness. I do have my binges but overall my eating is not to bad but my lack of exercise definitely holds me back. Tonight I will be going to kicboxing NO EXCUSES!!

good! kickboxing is so fun! I wish you have a good time there! and yes, thyroid can play a lot on your energy level, so that's a very wise decision to check that with your doctor. have a wonderful day!
