Skates1's Journal, 02 January 2015

I didn't do too bad yesterday. I only went 300 calories over my limit instead of over 1000. Today I am 100 calories over. I am hoping over the next couple weeks I can get closer to my goal and if I do go over my calorie limit I am hoping I can keep the overage under 300 calories.

I do need to incorporate my exercise program into my diet. I was suppose to start today, but missed it, so starting tomorrow am going to do my 10 minutes of pilates.

I figure I will move forward slowly with my exercise seeing that my lifestyle over the past 10 years has been extremely sedentary. I am going to do 10 minutes a day for 1 month, then 20 minutes a day starting the second month and 30 minutes a day for the third month and beyond.

I'm taking baby steps...

I also notice I need to cut down on the carbs and increase my protein intake. When I do my grocery shopping this week I will buy a lot of salmon and some lean beef and pork. I'll also cut myself down to one slice of bread or a roll per day.

Think I will buy a lot of celery, cucumbers and zucchini and make slices or sticks out of then to snack on.

I found out that calorie counting isn't where its at, its about keeping the carbs low at each meal and the protein and fat higher then the carbs. counting carbs. not calories

I agree with Chris....baby steps or sure :) If I'm looking at calories I always "round up" then that way, I know I'm not going over. But you see, I do Weight Watchers, and it's by points, but Karen is right as well. My husband's doctor told him that he needs to watch carbs. But that he should eat a lot of protein. We all have to remember to, what may work for one person may not work for the other ;) We all have different bodies :D
