I am just having a mug of chicken bullion hoping that is helps my cold symptoms. It isn't very high in calories but man what a lot of sodium.

Kitchen Basics makes a chicken broth with no salt added. Just the sodium naturally in chicken.

Thanks for the info msbuggirl. I used what I had in the cupboard but will definitely be looking for low sodium broth in the future. Thank you everyone for the good wishes. This is the first cold I have had in two years. I am usually very healthy.

You could always toss some chicken, onion and celery in a pot simmer it , add some hot pepper flakes for good measure. Voilà nutritious chicken soup.
