Draglist's Journal, 12 April 2022

Woke at 227.9, down .5 from yesterday. I tried something new today. I ate some grilled chicken and a protein drink for breakfast to start the day with a huge protein hit. I was way less hungry at lunchtime (no surprise) and I had a very small lunch). Still doing OK before dinner, but got to 226.9 by 4 pm. Sunny and 78 today, so I grabbed 15 minutes of sitting out in the afternoon sun near the end of the workday.

Thank you! I have not eaten breakfast in forever. Trying something new prompted by some thoughts by Dr. Gabrielle Lyon, who posits that you need at least 30-50 grams of protein to start and end the day.

Draglist, I have tried eating protein for breakfast lately, too. I tried tuna with a tablespoon of light mayonnaise on 35 cal toast. Great protein for about 150 cals. It made my morning much happier - wasn't obsessed by hunger.

Hope this switch works for you. I find protein in the morning is excellent for delaying hunger. 👍
