ElskeBotha's Journal, 07 April 2022

I just wanted to have a little bit of real talk because im sure many of you went through the same like I did.

I lost 20kg so far, it look me about 8 months to lose that but I definitely developed a eating disorder. The weightloss stopped eventually due to me binging over the weekends even during the week. My body wasnt getting enough fuel, but things are looking up now. I'm trying to teach myself to not expect a kg drop every week. Even if I lose 300g a week thats fine. I added 200calories and I feel like it made such a big difference. I'm full everyday just by adding that little bit.

Don't give up, and learn to be fine with losing only a few 100 grams a week. You dont want to end up like me who started binging till I was sick. We got this. In reality weightloss was never meant to be easy. It's hard if you don't always have that willpower

Oh the binging over weekends, I did that all the time. I didn't track calories over weekends as I gave myself off, but I actually was doing more harm to myself and my progress that way. So now I do track calories over weekend and I do allow myself to go over, but I track it so that I can see and be accountable. By doing this I feel less guilty. I hope it will get me out of the diet-binge cycles...

I needed this motivation 😔 I just looked back over a year I haven’t lost a single 1kg. It’s only this year that I’ve become serious about weight loss but I still can’t shake 1kg since Jan 😔

I have been stuck since October last year. The scale not moving. The demonstration that followed. Accompanied with binging. I have to remind myself why I started

Sorry im only responding now, you guys got this. Dont ever give up but also look after yourself. Meaning dont restrict your calories so much especially if you struggle with binging. We can do it!
