After falling off the weight wagon last wk..I restarted Monday..This is day 3...I refrain from eating till 2pm daily and end eating for the day by 7pm..the first day was hard but truthfully after that I have not craved breakfast...and can wait till 2pm for lunch..I preplan my food for the day every morning..been eating alot of chicken, but meatloaf tonight w/green beans...If I want to be able to work in the yard, start a bigger garden and take care of the above ground pool, hubby and 3 dogs..I have to lose weight..no excuse..Im 5'2 at last count 205 on Sunday, and I'm 64 yrs young..With every price going sky high and food soaring in price, about to go higher another 10% in the next 3 wks..I have to have a garden, pantry and some meat, which I'm working on..not alot of money to do all that but with 3 grown kids who are not listening to me of how bad things are going to get I will likely be feeding their families too before its all said and done..God has a plan for us all, and this is my calling, and the weight has go to GO!..lol Besides..look how much we will save on food...lol Love to all God Bess!!!

I’m glad you spoke up about how bad the food/commodities shortage is going to become— we are seeing it already in SoCal and prices are already sky rocketing. The beef that has been grass fed by French handmaidens may soon be history. It’s a good time for everyone to rethink what and how much they eat. There are tough times ahead.

Happy that you like the plan of eating you have developed for yourself. - Food is definately pricey. My budget has turned into a survival plan.

Missy, I’m a Millennial and do all 3 of those tasks and many of my friends are similarly talented. We know what a mess we’ve inherited and are trying to tread water. Agree with poster that IF is a great way to cut on consumption. My family is trading beans for beef a lot more these days, great way to cost cut.

LOVE the photo!! You still have a drive-in theater in your town?? Lucky duck! I agree that growin our own 'Victory Garden' is the wisest thing to do these days.

My superhero is Joan MacDonald, a 76 year old weight lifter! Very inspiring story. I'm looking forward to getting my veggie and herb gardens started soon! Good Luck!

ty all for the comments..yep I do know quite a few from the younger generation that do pantries etc...I think all of this came about in one yr, so I wouldnt say its inherited..but it is a fact that we will all have to be thrifty!! and yes we have a drive in about 30 min from us..We live in a tiny burg, no stop lights, alot of farms around us, and Amish..we love the drive in!
