My sympathy for your loss. Most of us have been out of control with our eating so stop beating yourself up. Keep up the walking. It's obviously working as you're still losing and you're getting personal satisfaction from it. Walking is my "natural prozac". Deep breath and focus on the peace and joy.

So sorry for your loss. I'm glad you've found solace on your hikes...walking is so peaceful and a great time to just 'be'. Your weight history is impressive, so don't be too hard on yourself.

Sugar,I am sorry to hear about your loss of your friend, that is never easy. Work is good and time to reflect is good, too. A little comfort food is needed at times like these. Please don't be too hard on yourself. You'll get back on track before you know it. One day at time. Keep me posted on how you are doing.Truly, J.J.

I also am so sorry to hear about your friend. I'd like to echo what everyone else is saying. I recently lost a family member, and gained some weight during that time. That's actually how I found FS. It's important to just be with your grief. I agree with Jennifer, you'll just fall back on track as your emotions begin to settle.
