My goal is to go running tonight. I missed a perfectly good morning to run b/c I wanted to clean the house. Now it is sunny and hot so hopefully tonight it will cool down a bit and I can squeeze in another run. I did some weights this morning too. I am going to try and get in a few here and there and see if that makes it less boring. :)

I am also going to try and eat some more veggies (even though I hate them) so if anyone has a yummy recipe that a veggie hater might enjoy let me know. I picked up a zucchini and I am going to try and grill with some olive oil and garlic (I have tried grilling them before and didn't like them so I hope the garlic does the trick) I also bought some portabella's which I do like on the grill. Oh how I wish I liked veggies...

I am off to eat some baked beans and hotdog (which I also don't like, but I needed a can for the grill so...)

Have a great day!

That is really great about the running, a lady after my own heart! I love the feeling I have when running and the feeling of accomplishment later. Keep it up as you told me! *smile* About the veggies, I am very good at knowing how to beef up veggies to make them taste allot better. Maybe you could send me a message and let me know the kinds you do *sorta* like and i could come up with some ideas for you. Just off the top of me head. I don't know how you feel about broccoli and cauliflower? I like to buy the frozen bags of it , and use it in my little steamer pot, you can buy those fairly cheap at Walmart. What I do is steam it, than use that Olive Oil Spray Pam , or off brand works just as well. Zero Calories and Fat. I spray a bit into a little pot( to take the place of butter) warm it with some garlic and a touch of salt and just let the season work its way through. For me the more garlic the better. My kids even love it and they don't like veggies either. Another thing I do, is buy the fresh veggies that I like, (so what ever you like will do) Spinach , or Romaine few baby carrots , maybe a cucumber , bell pepper, And i make a mini taco salad. What i do is cut it all up get the reduced fat sour cream and a 2 tbs serving of salsa dab it on top use a knife and fork to fix it all and let it sit for just a few minutes to get the flavor through. Even some nice dark kidney beans on top are great. It taste like a taco salad without the meat and fat of dressing. Look up a serving of salsa and reduced fat sour cream ( if you like it) and compare the fat calories and carbs to almost any dressing out there . You will be surprised! You could even buy some of that oscar meyer lean chicken cuts to put on top to go with if you must have the meat. Those are just a couple of ideas. but with out knowing what exactly you do like , its hard to say. So pop me a message and let me know and I will help you any way I can.

If you have zucchini, a really simple recipe to make is to boil it, drain it, and then warm it up again with a fat free marinara sauce. It's a great side dish and it's super low-cal.
