I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TIRED! While the renovation madness continued on the inside, I was outside cleaning up the yard because today was a relatively warm and sunny day. The porcelain tiles were laid today and "cemented" in place. Grouting tomorrow and then it sits for 24 hours to cure. Things are moving ahead of schedule which is good because I have a sneaky feeling something is going to crop up (not usually a pessimist but ..). The flower garden has been retired for the Winter. I spent the entire day outside and now I am aching everywhere - I think my eyeballs and hair hurt too. I had to get it all done though because tomorrow the temperature dips quite a bit and it will be very cold. brrrrr! Here comes old man Winter and I am ready for it!

Yoga was great last night ... I needed it and could only fit in a night class but I made a commitment to myself so I wanted to go. I came home close to 10 pm but it was worth it. I felt peaceful after a candlelit meditation class. It was all floor work and stretching and breathing and meditation for an hour. It was very difficult to keep my mind from running off in every direction but that is the point of meditation - it is meant to "catch" the mind as it wanders off again and again.

I took the kids out for dinner last evening (before Yoga)at an Italian restaurant. I found myself substituting the normal offerings. I had a spicy chicken dish with veggies (no pasta or potatoes). It was very good and the kids were happy. Everyone had an adult meal (no one wanted to order from the kids menu). My sister joined the family in progress. It was nice to be in a different environment having freshly made foods (not from a microwave).

Well, I forgot to weigh this morning because I got up really early and started getting into my to do list. I'll do it tomorrow. I really would like to fit hot yoga in my day tomorrow but not sure I will have the time. I have to pick up some hardware for my cabinets and purchase casings for the doorway to the kitchen (at the last minute I had them rip out the casings because it seems better to get new ones than paint the existing) ... still bleeding money...!

I hope you all had a great day friends! Hanging in there.......

Remodeling is exhausting whether or not you are doing MST of the work, it turns your house and routine upside down. Working in your yard was probably a much needed stress relief. Good for you for following your plan the best you can with no kitchen.

WFN and Tic - thank you for your support. It's so true... I may not be doing the work myself but living in an "under construction" environment is no fun - I am keeping my eyes focused on the end state for the sake of sanity. I feel overly sensitive and so spending time outside was good today. I drank my cal. magnesium tonight (CALM) and taking it easy. Going to bed early since my daughter's High School class is visiting a design school and leaves on the school bus early in the morning (I have do early drop off ).
