Hi guys... I'm 2 weeks post now 🤱🏾 and I just couldn't be bothered with food/to eat. I have silly things for breakfast like Cocoa pops, Kelloggs, nutrific, morvite, little bit of custard just to take pain meds then I'm done for the day. If hubby doesn't cook or bring me food, I don't eat. Even then it's a few spoonfuls. Is this normal post?

Not normal... So close after giving birth your should be fueling your body to aid with recovery.

It’s not. You need eat to aid recovery, keep you energy especially dealing with a newborn and breastfeeding (if that is what you opted for).
In African culture (maybe other cultures as well), I now know why it said a new mother should spend time at their mother’s house after birth and one of the things is so that your mother can take care of you (feed you), while you recover and take care of the baby. In long days gone (still happens), new mothers would be fed sorghum porridge to give the the nutrients they need to recover. Please eat and do not worry too much about weight. Believe me, you have plenty of time to focus on that once your baby is not newborn.

I went through this as well. Recovering from a CS and taking pain meds didn't give me an appetite hey. I forced myself to eat so that I had energy for my baby. It wasnt even about the weight loss for me at that point. You will feel better in time with an appetite intact. Hang in there

Hi mamas. Yesterday I 2 meals and a snack which is better than most days. And i feel better. I think I had/have baby blues but I really do feel better now that I've expressed these feelings to hubby and have tried eating better. Weight is the least of my concerns cause the weight naturally will fall off cause I'm small by nature. Thank you guys for the encouragement, I feel safe here🥲

You should try the Annique Rooibos Lifestyle Shake. It is save while breastfeeding and has all the nutrients you might need if you don't feel like eating. You can shop it online here if you are in South Africa
