Well, back after a long, long absence. I haven't eaten badly. I went down to 157 pounds. After a few really stressful weeks, I've gone back to 160. It's only a bit, but I'm tired of it and don't want it to get worse. I've actually joined a gym. I haven't gone yet. I had not been feeling well during the heat wave we had here and the gym does not have air conditioning (ok because it's a block from the beach). Honestly, though, I am really holding back from going. I know I'll be older that almost anyone there. Work is good: I'm a jewelry artist and getting better, learning more. Family is very supportive, too. My son lost lots of weight on his own and is keeping it off. The challenge is the usual sweet tooth and lack of self-discipline.

We're having a heatwave too. I think it's 50 today. Lol As a recovering sugaraholic I can tell you it is possible to not crave it as much.

Everything is relative! We would consider 50 a cold wave and pile on coats and hats, shivering. This is Southern California! The heat wave meant temperatures of 85-87 near the ocean where I live, in '90's inland.

We are really lucky here, except that occasional earthquake makes up for it...
Instantcrazy, I'm turning your comment into a mantra: It is possible not to crave sugar as much. So often it seems unconquerable!
There is also the little notice coming in the mail: weigh in. Brrrr.
