I'm not happy with my weight (It has gone up for the first time since I started dieting) but I'm very happy with my new diet. I think that this just confirms what I suspected: It was mostly water-weight that I lost on South Beach phase 1. :-( However, I am moving full-speed ahead as I do weight watchers and exercise! I'm feeling surprisingly optimistic, despite the gain... I think it's because I know that I'm working really hard and that soon, the pounds will come off and it will all be pure body fat gone!

If you go from a low carb to a regular type diet, you will have an initial gain because of glycogen storage (water). You have a great attitude. Just give it a couple of weeks and it will turn around. Good luck!

Hi love, yeah that's exactly my way of thinking - I've been working out intensely but eating more than 500 calories each day and having sooo many binges...therefore, over the last few weeks I have been gaining majourly but feel surprisingly ok about it cos all my clothes still fit (really well!) and I know some good MUST be coming from it at some point. Howver I forever feel down about it cos I am not restricting to the max and feel like I could be at my ug had I done so....LIFE SUCKS! All the best x x x
