Cut my morning walk short when a coyote started howling on the hill I was just about to climb. Too close for my comfort. It's even unnerving when deer stomp and snort at you. That happens quite often. Have a great day everyone!!

I can understand making a detour around the wildlife. We've had evidence of a bear on our property. My son has multiple pictures of it on his trail cam. I'm nervous about walking the trails now. People around here tell me to bring along a radio to play loudly and the wildlife will high-tail it before I get to them...but I'm not feeling comfortable about it yet.

On my normal route, the most wildlife I get to see are deer. On the weekends, when I run a different route, I get to see otters and raccoons. Fortunately, I don't have to deal with predators as I jog with my dog, unless a 35-lb springer spaniel could be classified as a deterrent...
